ALFA TCT: Comfort, driving pleasure, efficiency.
 
ALFA TCT (Twin Clutch Transmission) is a 6-speed semi-automatic gearbox with two clutches from Alfa Romeo. Its sophisticated technology ensures continuous torque delivery and traction without loss of power while shifting.
 
From the technical point of view, the device consists of two gearboxes in parallel, each with its own clutch, which allows the selection and engagement of the next gear while the previous one is still engaged. Shifting is simply obtained by gradually switching the corresponding clutches, guaranteeing continuous torque delivery and therefore traction.
 
ALFA TCT interacts with all the electronic systems fitted on the car. ALFA TCT continuously “dialogues” with the Alfa D.N.A. selector for better behaviour on the road according to current conditions and driving style and consequently with the:
 
- braking system
- steering system
- engine management control unit
- stability control system
 
ALFA TCT is always combined with the Start&Stop system. This technology allows a further decrease in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
 
 ALFA TCT technology means the Alfa Giulietta boasts the lowest CO2 emissions of any petrol engine in its class^.
 
ALFA TCT can be used in automatic or sequential mode according to whether the driver wants a more comfortable or sporty driving experience. In sequential mode, gears are shifted by moving the gear stick to the UP and DOWN positions or by means of controls on the steering wheel (optional).
